A “Home for the Holidays” Sampler
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow
Living near Lake Michigan affords us many recreational opportunities throughout the year. However it’s that time of year here in northwest Indiana when the weather turns out of the north that we get what they call lake-effect snow. For those not familiar with this phenomenom let me explain, with the wind blowing over the lake it can turn on a snow making machine that at times has been known to give us a foot or more of snow in one storm.
When we get snow like this around this time of year it puts us in the Christmas mood. So I thought I would share a few ideas from the Home for the Holidays Party that have been shared so far.

Thanks for featuring my mantel. Our snow is melting today because of the rain. Hopefully we’ll get some more in a few days. Enjoy your winter wonderland.

Oh, the dreaded lake effect! We were just talking about it with a friend from Canada. We used to lice in Cleveland, and moved to SoCal two years ago. Do not miss the phenomenon at all!
BTW, I love those pinguins! Adorable!
