Delicious Dishes 4.5.11 A little taste of Summer
Spring is in full swing and in celebration we are kicking of “The Egg-stravaganza on the 8th of April. So fire up those ovens and grab some fresh recipes to share with all your friends to get the Easter season off to a good start.
One of the great things about having the ability to go and pick up fresh vegetables that are out of season from your local store is that you can have some of your favorite dishes virtual year round. I always get the feeling of the season just by taste, pumpkin pie reminds me of crisp fall evenings watching the kids as they play in the leaves that fall to the ground in waves. And fresh homemade Salsa is a reminder that just ahead are long lazy Summer weekends spent with friends on the patio. I normally make a standard red Salsa but the next time I have a taste for it I’ll be trying the Green Fresh Vegetable Salsa shared last week by Angi over at Kitchen Hospitality.
Is there a dish that reminds you of a specific time of year? Do you make special meals to remind yourself of different seasons?
